We recently acquired a complete collection of Brooklyn’s Spivey Records.  The label was founded by legendary blues singer Victoria Spivey and jazz historian Len Kunstadt in 1961. The label released vinyl up until 1985, continued with a few reissue CD releases into the 90’s but came to a complete halt in 1996 when Kunstadt passed away.

These records are all in fantastic shape, hand pasted covers intact and vinyl like new.  These records will sell as an entire set. If interested please contact us or stop by.

Here are the releases, cat #, artist, and title. Please note that the catalog intentionally skips from 1018 to 1020. Release 1019 was planned to be “Buddy Tate All Stars” but was canceled due to release complications surrounding Victoria Spivey’s death on October 3rd 1976.
